It is likely that this playpipe, or fire nozzle, was part of the original fire equipment Barron Collier supplied to the town of Everglades. Made of copper and brass, the tips are removable. The copper portion would have been wrapped with twine and painted red. Although not made by Elkhart brass, the playpipe is very similar to the one shown in their 1930s catalog.
