Newspaper clipping from an unknown source. Not dated. Caption reads "HARD AT WORK building a float for swamp buggy parade are these employees of Naples Federal Savings and Loan Association, starting from scratch. They are left to right: Mrs. Rosemary Austin, Mrs. Norma Rans, Mrs. Evelyn Randolph and Elliott Fisher. The photographer tried to get some "inside dope" on what the Naples Federal float will look like, but nobody was talking. The photographer did notice, however, that fingers that weren't getting hit by a hammer were busily stuffing paper napkins into chicken wire. All over town, many other floats are being readied in out-of-the-way buildings, with the public definitely not invited to watch." |
