He started as a water plant worker and before his career ended was the acting city manager who began planning and funding the new city hall in 1978. His father-in-law was Robert Storter; and he became a fighter pilot assigned to the Naples Army Air Base. PBA's future encouraging, new boss Hugh Culverhouse says. One partial solution to Golden Gate Estate problems could come as the result of a proposal made for the State to buy the 79 square miles, 45,500 acres of the Estates south of Alligator Alley. The purchase would be added to the Fakahatchee Strand State Preserve and eventually become part of the Big Cypress National Preserve. A forest ranger's only guarantee: Hard work, big danger, small pay. Huge crowd at Naples Seafood Festival held at Swamp Buggy Grounds and sponsored by Kiwanis. Event raised an estimated $80K. Seacrest School has announced the addition of first grade classes. Peggy Addison has been hired to teach the new class. |
