Artifacts recovered from subsurface shovel tests from Heineken Hammock (8CR231). Heineken Hammock is a mound located on a limestone unconformity in a slough area 5.5 miles east of the City of Naples. Excavations carried out by the Southwest Florida Archaeological Society first began in 1987 and again in 1995. Materials found include shell, ceramic, and bone fragments. |
